NFL Cheerleaders in tights

Isn't it fun as a young child to fantasize about being a pretty NFL Cheerleader? Yet, there are ladies out there that actually make it to the big leagues...but they have to try out first and make it through the competition to be a Full Fledge NFL Cheerleader in shiny tights. Below are just some of the rules for Auditions if you are thinking of becoming one.

™ Auditions are open to all women 18 years of age and older, as of the NFL Cheerleader audition date, March 15, 2009, and who will receive a high school diploma or equivalent by the end of June 2009.
™ Applicants must have at least a part-time responsibility (i.e.: employment,
school and/or children).
™ All applicants selected for the 2009 NFL Cheerleader squad must live within 60 miles of the Stadium or be willing to relocate to the area by May 1, 2009.
™ All applicants must attend one NFL Cheerleader audition class prior to auditioning (see Audition Class Information).
™ Applicants must complete the audition class registration form included in this brochure and return it with full payment of $50.00 to the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Cheerleader by Friday, February 27th (only postmarks on or before Friday, February 27th will be accepted.)
™ Applicants must attach to the registration form a non-returnable photograph
of themselves. (Any type of photograph is acceptable– black & white, color,
large, small, Polaroid, professional studio, anything! You are not being judged
by your photo – it is simply for identification.)

re:What to wear to NFL Cheerleader try outs?
During the and classes, proper attire is required: sleeveless
sports-bra, dance briefs (French cut, no Thongs); non-shimmering, skin-tone
pantyhose or tights; jazz shoes or dance sneakers.

Required Identification:
Be prepared to show a valid driver’s license or passport at check-in for
classes. You will not be able to participate without it.

If NFL Cheerleaders did not wear pantyhose or tights, there would be a lot of offensive photographs floating around on the internet, so girls keep those tights on!!! eh?

First I was looking at yahoo answers on this topic and surprised that there were not that many recommendations on what kind of pantyhose or tights the NFL Cheerleaders wear! The winning answer at the link above is posted below:

The NFL really doesn't care what type of hosiery you wear as a Cheerleader as long as it is a skin tone that matches your legs and durable enough not to get a run in them while performing on the field. College Cheerleaders are not required to wear pantyhose at all institutions which I feel is a shame not to follow tradition. Pantyhose are a part of the uniform and protect the girls from accidentally exposing a part of their body which would be an embarriseent..

Most people know Tamara or Peavey Pantyhose worn by the Hooter girls and you can tell the NFL Cheerleaders do not have those on. First they are very shiny and shimmery to the lights, which is not a bad thing..very sexy to look at. I feel it is a wide variety of hosiery, most likely Danskin shimmery tights...although it would be great it all of the Cheerleading Squad wore the same brand and style of pantyhose, even at times bright colors. The Rockettes in New Your City, all wear nothing but Danskin Tights.
